All Those of you in the area (or visiting) should check out the Audium, if you haven't yet. Worth the entry fee (8 or 10, I can't remember). It's a sound installation composed of a circular room containing 169 speakers. It's a 60-minute show (cut in half by a 5 minute intermission) of distorted tape playback. Pitch-black and not-so-uncomfortable chairs. The sounds are a bit dated at times and he didn't play with melody or rhythm as much as I would have liked, but it's still cool to experience. It's a guy in the back of the room (the back of a circular room?) in some well-fashioned cockpit, twiddling knobs over tape-playback. It's all about the motion of the sound and he does a cool job with this. It's an interesting hour that'll leave you grasping for the KLF when you're home. Even the bathrooms are primed for sound...and I'm still curious how much of this is intentional... friday and saturday nights, on bush and franklin in the city for all you soundheads... ---brian ---------------------------------- Brian W.
