hi. i've received some interesting feedback concerning my free offer of the autechre coachella set. now i'd like to divulge a few thoughts & facts in a random order.
autechre got paid for their performance at coachella.
i never did use the set for personal gain.
i've foiled the auctions of bootleggers who've used it or have tried to use it to make a profit.
i have paid full price for all of the autechre/gescom music i own(which is all of it), unless it was 'not for sale', thus i am one of the ultimate contibutors to their career.
i promote them every chance i get.
if autechre would give the dat to people who wouldn't give an arm and a leg for it, why the fuck would they have a problem with the people who love and support them & would give an arm & a leg having it?
the shit will make a grip of people happy.....that should be enough right there.
it was a dj set, they never would've released it for copyright issues, so why not let someone else spread it around? especially someone who'd never try to make anything from it.
why would they not want their loyal fans to have something that would make them happy? why would they not want people who would never have a chance to see them live cuz they don't live in new york or southern california or europe to never hear their live material?
how am i an ass for doing something that will put alot of smiles on alot of peoples ears?
why would autechre give people their live sets if they didn't want them to be heard?
i seriously doubt autechre is stupid enough to believe that when they let an 'unobtainable' slip out that it won't be relentlessly copied & passed around to their followers & admirers.
i am not a bootlegger. i don't like or approve of bootleggers. bootleggers would profit from a work of art as if they were the creators. i am simply a superfuckingwhacko diehard autechre fan who wishes to scream to the world:

i'm making arrangements to make it available beyond napster in the next day or 2. i or someone else on the list will release that info shortly.
in closing, i'm severely derranged, damaged & as bipolar as a living thing could be. i constantly fuck myself over left & right. if for some insanely retarded reason, autechre has a problem with this, i'd be more than happy to grip my hands behind my back & take a pummeling from both of them.
