sorry that my american roll call email turned into a lex vs. kid606 battle.
i think the reason why i am digging alot of the american "idm" is that alot of the music is being made by artists who love all sorts of music and it comes thru in what they do.
i think if you talked to anyone of those artists on the list, they would tell you that they listen to and love all kinds of music(s).
and i think thats what we need more of around here in this idm world is to not be so elitist and love all sorts of music.
i guess you know who you are.
i have been listening to alot of lex's stuff lately and i have to say that it is high quality stuff.
im glad he is not prolific otherwise he might put out some bad music. i think squarepusher is a good case of prolific music maker putting out mediocre stuff. he put out several e.ps that were just ok. they could have easily been compiled into one really good record.
but anyways, i digress.......
idm is only a small portion of the musical world.
there is so much wonderful music to be discovered, both old and new. electronic and non-electronic.
