DJ gig announcement:
Guerrilla Gallery : Audio Survival
For over 25 years the Music Gallery has been the cornerstone of
Toronto's contemporary new music community. However, in today's
economic climate, even the greatest institutions devoted to cultivating
the arts are threatened. Such is now the case with the Gallery. The
current location, at 179 Richmond St. West, is being torn down for
condominium development at the end of July. Undaunted, the Gallery will
embark on a one-year campaign: Guerrilla Gallery : Audio Survival - a
series of concerts in various Toronto venues that will keep the spirit
of new music alive while a new permanent space is secured.
Come help us celebrate the kick-off of this campaign with the last ever
spectacle at the Richmond St. location - a two-day festival of new
electronic music that cuts across radical experimentalism to top
underground DJs from Toronto and around the world.
