could someone send me offlist the snail mail and email addresses for toshoklabs please??? on the subject of live shows, i recently saw marumari and colongib/octopus inc. in lowell mass. it was a fun and weird show as most of them are in lowell. marumari put on a nice set of mostly unreleased?? tunes. i recognized one. the sound was crappy plus a speaker fell on his leg. but nevertheless, i continue to be impressed by the quality and sound of marumari's music. wolves hollow is one of my faves of the year so far. colongib and octopus inc was an ok set. one of them played some tracks off of a laptop while the other grabbed bits of radio broadcast and live microphone into a delay box (alesis wedge, gotta love em). nice and quirky, they did an interesting remix?? of hip-hop hooray. on the lex question, i dont really think he uses max for his live sets. he may not use it at all. i think hes a cubase man. im not sure. anyways, when i saw him in chicago last year, im pretty sure he was just hitting the old space bar and playing his tracks. they were in no way different from the recordings. and then he did a little bit of processing in between tracks as bridges. funkstorung on the other hand put together a great live set particularly for that tour. all hardware. no computers. drum machine, nord, wedge. michael working the synth. chris working the drum machine. good stuff. later, greg davis autumn records http://autumnrecords.cjb.net many updates soon!!!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
