How about this for a cool sounding album - a collaboration between Ice T and Kool Keith! BABY DIDDY ----- Original Message ----- From: Cory Brown To: CORY@nugruv.com Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2000 1:02 AM Subject: PRESS RELEASE: KOOL KEITH MASTERS LOOTED KOOL KEITH VOCALS NABBED IN LAKER RIOTS Los Angeles, CA - June 26, 2000 - The Indiana Pacers were not the only ones robbed last Monday night. Besides the loss of an NBA Championship for the Pacers, Kool Keith (a.k.a. Dr. Doom, Dr. Octagon, the ultimate space-porn MC), had his vocals snatched. In the aftermath of the mayhem, which ensued after the Lakers laid claim to the NBA title, it was found that the vocal masters for Kool Keith's forthcoming album had been taken from a looted location near the Staples Center. A collaborative effort between Keith, Ice-T, and others, who are collectively known as the Analog Brothers, the album entitled "Pimp To Eat"(Ground Control/Nu Gruv Alliance) was originally slated to hit streets on July 4th. Unfortunately, it seems that independence has its price, and the album now has a scheduled release date of August 15th. A source from the label says, "At this point we are unclear as to whether this was a deliberate act of piracy, using the riots as cover or some random looter..we wonder if the person(s) involved realize what they now have in their possession." This bizarre occurrence almost seems fitting for the union of rap's original gangster and one of hip hop's most eccentric emcees. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
