its possible.. it really depends on what you like about Oval. alot of farmermanual material has a very glitchy, asymmetrical, incidental feel. digital collage. it sounds like they've created pieces by opening non-soundfiles in wave editors, damaging media, and generally abusing digital technology. wonderful stuff. i personally prefer FSCK, because its generally the most listenable/accessible album.. as it seems to be their mutant take on drum and bass. Although Explorers_We is a fantastic album as well.. a bit more mechanized-sounding.. though its a bit of a long listen, as its constructed to be one long building track (though its index into 99, and you can listen on random). in the same vein, i must also recommend the newest OST on Emanate. similarly asymmetrical.. possiblly improvised, very loose (feels very un-sequenced). high diverse, harsh at times, soothing at others.. reminscent perhaps of Download's Charlie's Family. any thoughts on the architechtura series besides panacea? j
