actually there are a bunch of them for different regions.. if folks are interested they should check them out. but i will state again - without "raves" i would have never heard some of the sickest music (idm related) that i have ever heard! aside from local djs that bust out mad shit at parties (tom allain, j bondy, the fisherman, daniel, greta - from socal) raves have hosted such guests as: jega (though we're not sure if he played) aphex twin plastikman soul oddity (phoenecia) mixmaster morris mike dred (didnt go - may not have shown up) just to name a few i can think of spun at work :) and as far as i know, panasonic started their electronic life via the party scene. raves are a part of idm, sorry to bum some of you out.. a lot of the times its the only outlet for the music around these parts. the whole PLUR debate, however, does seem a bit off for the list -- but it started in such a lame way! ah well, at least it "outs" the snobs :) chris. it.s ok to like noise it.s okay to like house it.s okay to like pop "nothing but respect to hello kitty" _we are all lost --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
