Voiteck is indeed Australian, with releases on Plug, Bush, Kne-Deep and
another Australian based label that I cannot remember the name of.
His style is Detroit influenced minimal techno however he is well capable of
some striking IDM (his Friday night club sTRUCKture proves this) and has
relased an Ambient record on Seraphic here in Australia.
He toured the US last year and has started playing out house live under the
alias of Meccano. As a live act he kicks any Australian's ass and I believe
he is world class.
Anyways, that's my 2 cents.
P.S Walked into trashy second hand store today and saw Autechre's Amber and
N.O.W Smoker Delight for one Australian dollar each. That's around 33p or
.60 USD. Suffice to say I snapped them up quick smart and gave them to a
friend who's idea of intelligent dance music is The Crystal Method.
