The Quant album is nice - reminded me a bit of the Gerd LP on Universal Language. Lots of funkish synth bass and varying tempos - from hip-hop to house. Extremely clean/well produced. Some tracks have this kind of word association vocal thing going on which uh, doesn't work IMO. The current crop of Dot 12"s is in a similar vein to the Quant - smooth, funk influenced tracks with a weirder edge. Metamatics 'Man-Q-Neons' 12" is the stand-out IMO - has a more synthetic IDM feel to it. Got the Metamatics 'Midnight Sun Pig' CD on Dot in my bag but not listened to it yet. || [CiM] || cim@headspacerecordings.co.uk || - ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
