Yeah, the Cash Money clique certainly uses a lot of stock sounds and Swizz Beats tends to use some bad synth sounds, but Timbaland is more sample based. I certainly don't regard these guys as brilliant sound designers, I was referring more to their production/arranging skillz in reference to other hip-hop producers.
