I try to buy music frequently from good stores local to me. I don't really
do the mailorder thing too much anymore, unless there's something which I
just can't special order from any of the places around Boston, for these
reasons:
1) No shipping costs.
2) Cheap used music at the better places. (5-8$/release instead of
$10-15+)
3) You can actually give the stuff a spin before you buy.
I would be rather upset if my local stores went away, so I try to make an
effort to support them. I end up going to them almost once a week
sometimes, vs. the once-a-month habit I had going with mailorder.
BTW I'm assuming by "net-only" label you mean that you you accept orders
online only, not that you publish only net-based releases (mp3's/files
online).
