I've gotta put in a shout for this (possibly last) tour. The True/False tour is the most spaced out ambient noise sideshow that you could check this summer, or at least for the next couple of weeks. I saw the Atlanta show, and despite the guy next to me who was probably tripped out on DMX or something (no, no, don't go there...don't be that person, don't bring that back), it was a wonderful performance/experience/hell, I don't know WHAT you would really call it. Pastor Dick, puppet shows, sure, but the best part, besides the "Day In/Day Out" and "True/False" mind warps (I thought one of my friends was going to start drooling on himself when they started burning film) had to be the encore. Anyone? Anyone? With all of the recent Napster/RIAA/musical expression debates, leave it to Negativland to find away around the whole mess. And hey, you can even talk to Mark Hosler during the intermissions if you're in a small venue. He was in the mood to schmooze in Atlanta, and was complaining about the janky tracks that they were using for the intermission...that, and the acoustics in the Atlanta Variety Playhouse. He said "the acoustics in this place are just too damn good for us, and the sound bounces back and it's hard for us to tell what we're doing." Great stuff. Ok, that's enough outta me right now. This dedication goes out to a little dog named...Snuggles! Eh... Fuck Snuggles! Diddly Shit! Holly (who sat bitch in a manual transmission truck for four hours just to see this show). np - Nightmares on Wax - Survival -- ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤ ---"Fist in Air!"---Chris Holmlund ---"You're disrupting the Feng Shui of my bed!"---Dr. Huxley --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
