...two of the releases I've been playing the hell out of lately have to my aging ears a strong flavor of (here goes) WaxTrax-styled industrial: *Neutral - "Font Translation Errors" (Mad Monkey) *Jake Mandell - "Quondam Current" (Force Inc.--okay, it came in the mail today, but...much more even-keeled than Placekick EP). Any takers on the proposition that good old fashioned industrial has just as much (perhaps more?) to do with the music we hear today as electro and techno are reputed to have had? I've already discussed this with another on the list, but now want to see what everyone else thinks. Waiting for the looters with champagne (if I can't kill'em with the cork, I'll get'em drunk instead...) laz --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
