this album (bionaut, friends) is simply AMAZING. easily as great, i think (on first listen, given) as "lush life electronica." what's odd is that there's so much GUITAR here! one track almost sounds like sonic youth vs. koln allstars. and the "student bashing on mars" track is simply sublime. anyone who thinks minimal techno has some good ideas but is too dull, repetetive, what have you: this is the link between "IDM" (in its truest, even naive, sense) and minimal techno.
