Thats a good price for one thats a little bit less than they are going for.

Well by analogue, it refers to the type of sound generation. The sounds are made from raw waveforms(like that nice sine wave for the kick) and then ran through shapers to produce the sound. A real 808 has a sound and feel all of its own + plus its got alot of knobs for tweaking. As for a digital 808, the new 808 roland has out is pretty cool but its a totally different beast....more of a sampling drum machine/ hard disc recorder. There are plenty of synths and drum machines that sample the 808's sounds for a close approximation. Rob
