All right, I didn't want it to come to this, but I have sitting on my desk right now (and for the last two weeks), the king of all that is not IDM. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Garth Brooks: The Limited Series -- a six-disc box containing each of the man's first half-dozen albums... I make no apologies for my listening habits, but let me say in my defense that 1) it was only $10, and 2) I wanted to figure out whether this guy has any talent at all. I mean, he's sold ninety billion records! That's gotta come from somewhere, am I right? Results are inconclusive thus far... Also on my shelf are perennial unIDMers like Amon Duul, Harry Connick, the Fall, the Clash, Ray Barretto, Al Hibbler, Anita O'Day, Joe Williams, etc., plus no less than 27 Stevie Wonder albums, a reflective Mary J. Blige poster (!), and several shots of the coolest man alive, Robbie Williams... .John. NP: Porter Ricks/Techno Animal - Mmmmm...crunchy... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
