I busted out my Meteor ep today to review your comments and i agree
that one of the two tracks on Meteor are very Mouse on Mars-like but
the other is way too experimental for a valid MoM comparison.
The other track on Meteor would be better compared to Ryoji Ikeda/
Dumb Type, or even Oval. On the Takemura album, Scope, Nobukazu
veers more towards, often going way beyond, the experimental sound
of the second side of meteor. A very unique and enjoyable listening
experience.
If you enjoy the MoM-ish sound Takemura toys with on ½ of
Meteor then i suggest you try his Funfair album on the Bubblecore
label (under his Child's View guise). On Funfair Takemura dwells
more in the vibrant quirky electronica sound which, at times, is
reminiscent of Mouse on Mars but with a delightfully light-hearted
feel. I recommend you check Funfair out if you can still find it.

Speaking of Patio, a friend recently sent me a tape of the Patio
Cross Dressing demo and it is wonderful. Spacious downtempo
melodic electronica with a touch of experimentalism. I'm really
looking forward to the official release of some Patio material
as well as some Jet Jaguar stuff (which i believe is a collaborative
effort between Patio & Aspen).
