the mpc 's sequencer is beautiful though...very intuitive and easy to use...the cheapest way to go would be software based sampling/sequencing, digital granulation etc... you already have a computer so...get on hotline or some such equivilent and you can download the software at a great discount. i find the best set up is a balance of hardware, software....analog and digital, though don't be under any illusions this costs alot of money....but just like josh says...it's more about what you do with the equipment than the equipment itself. goodluck greg ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
