Warm and dark.. hmm... Jochem Paap's "vrs.mbnt.pcs" might be a good one.. Also some of Steve Roach's work is minimal but "positive" in a way.. If you're looking for dark "ambient" I'd go for Main, Stratum Terror, Ambre, Tactile, Lustmord, Aube and Thomas Köner. Some Coil records might also be worthwhile to check out, ie. "How to destroy angels" and "Time Machines". Warm and dark ambient is an interesting combination, the artists I mentioned above are mainly dark but are certainly heartwarming if you ask me. Hope this helps, Matt. -----Original Message----- From: idm-owner@hyperreal.org [mailto:idm-owner@hyperreal.org]On Behalf Of Bennett Gross Sent: Thursday, August 12, 1999 8:35 AM To: IDM Mailing List Subject: (idm) Dark Ambient Stuff In search of warm, dark ambient work. Not sure if that's a contradiction or not, but thats what i'm looking for. If someone could point me out to some labels/artists, that would be great. Thanks, - Sendirian. Bennett Gross.
