I do know that when I worked at the college radio station in Munich, lp5 was listed as such in whatever mini-publication was sent out advertising releases. I would guess the lp5 designation came from warp-- i.e. listed as such in behind-the-scenes releases but not labeled that way on the CD M. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's up.
