a waltz is a style of partner-oriented gestural body movement. not everything in 3/4 is a waltz just like four on the floor doesn't mean "hustle." this whole "ONE two three" thing is just an oom pa pa stereotype, plenty of 3/4 compositions avoid it (check that love theme thing from dr. zhivago). regardless, at least one of the various forms of either "forcasa" or "aguilla" by bola is in an even 3. eric
