The real situation I think has something to do with consumer cost. Apparently due to exchange rates and a few other phenomena, Japanese-manufactured CDs are a lot more expensive in Japan than the import versions (i.e. those from the States & Europe) -- whence the bonus tracks and early releases - an incentive to buy native. (Let's not forget that ballooning trade deficit ;) sr -- sd
