Yes, the abovementioned albums are very fine, but for honest-to-allah
electronic out-thereness, check *Sextant*, which came out around the
time of *Thrust* and *Headhunters*. The good doctor Patrick Gleeson
lets fly a cornucopia of synth tones that still sounds fresh as hell
to late-90s ears. This is deep, cosmic stuff and I imagine the jazz
establishment dealt with it about as well as it did with Miles' early 70s
work--i.e., flabbergasted outrage. *Sextant* was reissued last year by
Columbia [you could probably find it in any huge chain store]
and is recommended to IDMers of all denominations.
