I vote for kitsch (as if it matters). It's hard to find a German not
convinced of the inherent superiority of national product. Though if he can
swill Spaten (read: shovel) or Lowenbrau, he can definitely stomach
Rolling Rock. (But come to think of it, Bud (-weiser or -vor) is
a cult phenom in the hip-but-clueless circles in the fatherland).
