Awww c'mon! That's half the fun, they neverever post anything more than a few hours before the event. They're usually always in Hollywood somewhere, so it's not too bad. And although my hopes were dashed upon arriving at the venue to see an empty parking lot and a cop car, it was all worthwhile when plan b came through and the caravan headed to the second location, a ridiculously small warehouse (if you could call it that!) - i wish more people had been able to see the performance, and i definitely wish the promoters had been able to cover the event and avoid police harassment over some mysterious permit issues. but the thrill of the the hunt made this one worth it, and hearing phonenecia play in such an impromptu location made it all that much better. ditto chris on their rendition of dj tokyo, along with several other tracks - i kept hearing melodies off cuts i knew (the jeswa 12", the track off that italian comp on nature?) mixed over different rhythms than i was used to, and the crowd definitely ate it up. good fun, just a bit hectic with the drama involved which no one could have anticipated - they've thrown numerous parties at the first location (a private rented venue) with no problems in the past...brock ps - don't forget if you're in LA - headspace tonight 4/24 at the temple bar in santa monica, languis and o.s.t. live with mannequin lung dj'ing - $5 to get in ______________ Brock Phillips Motormouthmedia 2525 Hyperion Ave. Suite One Los Angeles, CA 90027 fon 323.662.3865 fax 323.662.3844
