im curious to find out what makes a person buy a "record".
what is it beyond previous knowledge that makes you grab the release you for
some reason have been eyeing for a while? what qualities do you look for in a
"blind pick" so to speak.what kind or records ammuse you visualy.....
im asking due to my recent pick up of michael fekesh's release marion.
i had no idea of the artist, the artists previos affiliatin (funkstroung) or
the
fact that it was somthing i knew about but didnt remember at the time.
i just saw the art, read a description and decided to get it instead of
plug research and development (wich i knew kicks mucho ass).
i am in no way dissapointed in this option to buy for i now wn the release i
once told myself to buybut forgot about and also picked it for no reason at
all other than what seemed to be devine intervention.
beyond that even, ive also come to find that i am way more interested in what
all the net based tiny guys are up to.
all the boys and girls who work endlessly to make a perfect song but never
seem to go anywhere with it. ive decided to not let the labels (in wich i am
not knocking in any way) find the artist for me to bring him or her to my
attention and instead find them myself b4 they get overrun with other popular
opinion derived from the theories of music making and experienced music
makers.
i find that the ones unheard are the freshest in creativity, although you
must sort through huge amounts of musicly uninclined boring crap to find the
diamonds.
whats your take on all this....
