I haven't seen anyone mention Bark Psychosis, a serious oversight IMO. I've been caning Hex for the past month or so. It's nothing like the Boymerang stuff at all - it's the record that prompted Simon Reynolds to coin the term "post-rock." Brilliant stuff, highly recomended particularly to fans of late Talk Talk.

The original version of Black Secret Technology, Jacob's Optical Stairway, and The Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind all come to mind.

Yes, Modus Operandi is a "good album." C. -- Chris.Hilker (cspot@hyperreal.org)
