Give it another go. Listen to all sixteen tracks rather than just a
few. Sure, a few tracks have that same frantic programming style as
used by RDJ in 'Bucephalus Bouncing Ball' and 'Formula', but that's
about as RDJ-ish as it gets. Solar X has very obviously been
influenced by Aphex (pace), Autechre (programming/depth) and Boards of
Canada (crunchy drums & melodies), but the album is very much his own
and his own style has clearly emerged by the time the last track has
finished.

Check out Solar X's 'Outre X Mer', where you'll find Solar X doing a
lot of RDJ/Ae-type stuff long before RDJ and Ae actually did it.
