hrm..sad...i dont listen to any music that doesnt spark some sort of emotion in me..and at the moment..i play more idm than i do older "alternative" and so on.. aphex twin - sawII was always a real tear jerker.. and some of the jega and m-ziq drum 'n' bass tracks can work out some of that angst if you get into well enough.. IMO L`zoril np - antarktika - live -----Original Message----- From: SOMA806@aol.com [mailto:SOMA806@aol.com] Sent: Monday, April 17, 2000 12:24 PM To: idm@hyperreal.com Subject: [idm] missing: romanticism I love IDM, but I find that often after having let it dominate my thoughts and time on my stereo, the one aspect of my life that seems unfulfilled is romantacicim. I REALLY do get a feeling of unattachment for people (with a few acception eg. boygirl song, flim flam, tortoise, savath +savalas Some to ro coco rot). Does IDM ever make you feel like part of the lost generation?? Or am just going though a steril period. I think I'm going to blast some Dinosaur Jr. sonic youth, Fugazi and Mazzy star for a while. Call me cheezy but those artist just refill some lost teenage 'angst'or needed depression for loss of better word. Some time I feel like IDM gives me no emotion other than interset in IDM. Sometime I want more. I need an un quantized human touch. Mayde darkside of the moon is what I'm looking for, maybe some sea and cake. HELP! Am I the only one that gets like this some times?! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
