I can see your point in one way but if someone else wants to reissue their
music they should sort out a license agreement - in other words ask them and
get their permission. If the label doesn't agree and wants to do a limited
edition however that's up to them - it happens in the visual art world all
the time and it's usually an edition of one :) Do I have an automatic right
to anything I want? Just a thought...

No I'm not against making a copy for a friend - the point I was making was
about multiple bootleg copies.
