I think Soma Records is one of the best house labels and there is fair share of good techno releases as well. If you were a fan of Daft Punk, they were putting stuff out on Soma probably almost 2 years before they received commercial success. SURGEON - Muggerscumout ....that's the bomb!! But then again Surgeon rarely disappoints. Actually I highly recommend tracking down Funk D'Void's first lp on Soma. You can hear a strong appreciation of Detroit techno on the album. Oh, I almost forgot MAAS. Very good LP!! Definitely look out for this one. Yeah, just jump into the Soma section at your local shop. I have bought quite a bit, and I'm not the biggest house head either. www.somarecords.com
