I realize you're making a half-assed joke, but I think there is room for
clarification... The jungle category basically is for breakbeat based
music, possibly danceable? And the house/techno category is for
four-on-the-floor based music, possibly danceable? Therefore, you don't
need a disco category... And would people like Burger/iNk and Basic
Channel be eligible in house/techno? Why not, right? Swing is obviously
ridiculous, but I think a hiphop category would be good for next year,
emphasis on production... If we define it by slower
breakbeats/scratching/electro
influence. Which reminds me... Does electro fit into any of the existing
categories, or is it on its own? Is it 'techno?"
