The other day i unearthed some lost classics in my collection all on the short-lived AO label: Saxophonettes Secret Squirrel ep and the Suzuki K1 & 7.5cc Satellite Serenade ep. The Saxophonettes: Secret Squirrel ep is a great murky electro-dub ep worked over by the Orb. After listening to it several times i decided to see if the Saxophonettes/Yasu Shimizu have released anything else. I've since read that they've released a ton of stuff dating back 1978 ranging in styles from orchestrated soundtrack material to kenny g-ish sax music, to some interesting ethno-electronica but i've not heard any of those other releases. Does anybody have any suggestions for Saxophonettes/Yasu Shimizu material that sounds like the Secret Squirrel ep? Also been relistening to the Suzuki K1 & 7.5cc Satellite Serenade ep. Four dubby ambient electronica mixes on this one also worked over by the orb & friends. Have Suzuki K1 or 7.5cc done anything else in this vein? (Been in a dubby electronica mood lately) -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
