Yeah I've heard ambient house for some downtempo
material but I don't know if that's just a term that's
been suggested. My big problem has been deciding what
description Wolfgang Voight fall under. Konigsforst
sure sounds like Ambient House to me. Some related
stuff like Krisel 33/99 is at a downtempo house speed
but without a pronounced beat. And I just picked up an
absolutely beautiful Profan record which is more home
listening house I guess. Subtle experiments with
sounds and rhythms, highly recomended but I'm not
quite sure it qualifys as IDM.
