I spoke to Phillipa about this a couple of weeks back, and trust me,
they're not happy about the situation. Basically, the venue they were
supposed to use (sorry, I can't remember the name, I'm not a Montrealer)
fell through, and the only place they could find as a back-up venue that
was interested was a LOT smaller than they wanted. So don't hold it
against them, they tryed as hard as they could.
On a similar note - they had problems finding a venue in Toronto as well,
and ended up having to book it a sa late night event (2 AM - 7 AM) in the
side room of a larger party/rave of some sort. Major suckage for old farts
like me who are usually home & in bed by 2 AM. Oh well, I guess I'll just
have to have a nap that afternoon...
