This is true, I haven't heard Bukem play out. But I do have plenty of
experience of the DJ/MC comination. I do think MCs have a place, and that's
in a club or party. Conrad would be okay in that context, not the best I've
heard but very far from the worst.
OTOH, I don't like MCs on a compilation cd. The last time I was listening to
LP2 it would have been difficult for me to appreciate the "focal point of
the crowds energy" cos I was alone in my bedroom. I'm sure I would feel
differently about Conrad if I was out dancing, but I'm afraid I still grind
my teeth when I hear him shouting over the celestial vibe of Visions of Mars
while I'm trying to chill in my room.
