Well this depends on what you mean by the masses of course but by the time Warp released 'Reeled & Skinned' (July '95) there'd already been two Plug EP's, "Are We Here," Aphex's "Spotlight" remix and a few other things that were widely accepted among idm listmembers, at least. There's even a very funny post in the idm archives from that month from oldschool idm crank Ryan G. Pals complaining (what else?) about how "everyone and his intelligent dog is jumping on the jungle tip."
