This question pops up every two weeks on the ambient list, and slightly
less often here. Try visiting 2350.org, hyperreal.org/fax, and
faxlabel.com. There are reviews and samples galore. also, sleepbot.com
has a great bunch of reviews of fax titles, as well as other discs.
my quickie essential list is:

2350 broadway, the whole series
air 1 + 2
outland 1
sultan
transonic 1
from within 1
shades of orion 1
IF 2
and a few others I can't remember...
i've been very disappointed with fax releases over the last year or so. I
think they reached their highwater mark in 1995.
