Steve Reich : Music for 18 Musicians Octet / Music for a large ensemble Drumming Variations for Strings / Variations For Mallet instruments voice and Organ Different Trains / Electric Counterpoint All of the above are highly reccomended, their use of Counterpoint and repetition have been highly influential on 'idm'. Id also heartily reccomend 'John Wall - Fractuur' on Touch, this guy samples artists ranging from Ryoji Ikeda to John Cage, but in a very innovative way, if youre into touch/farmers manual/noise and fancy a bit of dark modern classical this is the horse for you.
