Satie is one of my special favourites, especially Gnossiennes and Trois Sarabandes. The beauty in simplicity of his music is unparalleled. Also, I have found Cage, Stockhausen and Glass to be in the essential group of classical composers related to electronic music. My uncle, Usko Merilainen is a renowned finnish composer of classical and electroacoustic music; his works are very difficult and interesting. If you can get your hands on his records, I recommend "Kuguku", one of his electroacoustic experiments. There is a decent article on him at http://www.sonances.qc.ca/composers/meril.htm. -- nuutti-iivari meril?inen -> gordon@diversion.org : diversion communications technostructuralist + information architect + media designer
