The Boy Without Hands is a "side project" of a guy names James Izzo who
records dark ambient and experimental stuff under the name Thread.
He's perhaps best known for his series of "recreations" - tracks that he
records based on the work of artists that he enjoys. Two Coil reworkings
that he recorded were so enjoyed by Coil themselves that they authorized
their release as a 7" single on Brainwashed Recordings, and his website

http://users.nac.net/thread/) features MP3 downloads of his recreations
of tracks by Autechre, Meat Beat Manifesto and Pan sonic - as well as a
bunch of his own material.
The latest Thread release is a CDEP entitled "In Sweet Sorrow" recorded in
collaboration with Jarboe, the female vocalist from Swans.
