Stuck at work here... I don't see the problem in communication or meaning in art, but rather the attempt to convey something very specific. As I said, the attempt is bound to fail -- and if not, you will never know anyway. In particular, if you are not dealing in some type of common vocabulary (as in spoken or written word, body language, conventional harmony, or boom-boom-boom) then communication becomes very difficult. In large part, it's a practical matter, not a philosophical or aesthetic issue. All you can say for sure is that the music had a certain meaning for -you-.
