Agreed. Enclosed every time. And beware the little plug-in thingies
which are NOT good news for eardrums.
You may all disagree, but I just buy lots of pairs of pretty cheap
ones, that give me good response and sound-staging. One for the
walkman, one for the CD/tape mastering and a HUGE old Marantz pair
for vinyl which clamps on real tight and makes me look like a Mars
Attacks extra :-) I love shutting out the world (personal bit).
