I have some bad news for you... every piece of recorded music you have ever heard (vinyl, cd, tape, radio, tv, film, etc.) has been compressed. Even live instruments (guitar, keyboard, sampler, whatever) is compressed when put through an amplifier. The only uncompressed music you will ever hear comes from acoustic instruments played right in front of you! OK, so we're maybe talking about a slightly different application of compression, but it's essentially the same thing. There is nothing at all wrong with ATRAC (latest versions). MiniDisc rules OK! ;-) Cheers, Aca Rare IDM Auction: http://www.personal.leeds.ac.uk/~eclaca/auction.htm
