i don't know who all brock was referring to when he said "greedy little fucks". i have been bit greedy though. i'll admit, it was really starting to get to me that these people on ebay were making money off of an audience recording while i wasn't even utilizing the master recording as a trading piece. here i am, gifting it to friends, wanting to share it with the world, yet still holding off from spreading it too wide in fear that i could no longer use it to obtain other rarities. it's hard for me to think of how autechre might feel about this. funny thing about all these artists i love so much.....i'm almost incapable of feeling sorry for them when their music is so relentlessly bootlegged. sean & rob, mike & marcus....i love you guys, because you've enriched my life so. you've filled my life with exctacy where there might otherwise have been slow monotonous death. but for godsakes, spread it around a bit more........alot more. what the fuck? i couldn't start to comprehend creating such a spellbinding masterpiece, only to give it to a trillionth of the human population. sure, it's intended to mean a great deal to the recipient, it shows them they're special, but on the other end, it's a slap in the face & a dick up the bum to all the diehard fans, & a frustration to everyone else. it does more damage than it does good. what a teaser......what a lifeshattering teaser, to have knowledge of things such as hooper bay, & to know i couldn't experience it for the very deed to my soul. it makes being the type of fan i was for devo or the b-52s or primus or boogie down productions, impossible for groups who'd rather the rest of 'us' weren't included in the fun because were not 'them & theirs'. i had never experienced feelings like that before i happened upon & immersed myself in the realm of 'incredibly difficult & sometimes impossible to obtain creme of the crop robotronical sciencerock'. from the time i heard about it, it took 4 years for Aes' remix for dominique dalcan to find it's way into my aural library. i'd have given a nut & a foot for that track, based solely on Aes' near inability to create an ungodly track. luckily, my homeboy chanced upon a guy who was willing to trade it for about 20 times as much shit. 4 discs packed with rare & exclusive shit from ae & boc for 1 track. it was worth it. that guy's stoked now & so are we. unfortunately, i see no other way to obtain a ton of the shit i'm looking for without some heavyweight shit in return. when everyone can get their ears on whatever's gonna make them happy, this necessity will vanish & i'll be able to relax. alas, there is no light at the end of the tunnel :( ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
