Well I picked up this gem last week and have allowed it to sink in... Touch Sampler 1 and 2 were very good, and this one does not disappoint. Still retaining the ecclecticism that is the Touch 'sound', this release takes you on a fuzzy, dreamy, esoteric ride through short wave radio transmissions, location recordings both in and out of doors, pure abstract electronic noise, and even a mellow trip hop influenced pop track. Panasonic, Chris Watson and Biosphere are among the contributing artists and I must say, not really knowing much about Biosphere, their track is one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I have heard in a while. A release that can't be categorized, It's a quiet disk, and one that does not demand a lot of attention; it's perfect to relax to, read a book, get stoned, whatever. A very arty farty disk, yet one that lacks any pretentiousness. A good break from all the breakbeat I've been listening to lately. bye all Nate
