first day we got it at the ninja office, it was palyed no less than 5 times. everyday since at least twice. It's still Tortoise, but with a lot of new ideas. The first half of the record continues where 'millions' left off (ie. percussive tortoise style tracks). There is a wicked Morricone (spaghetti western era) style track in there as well. The last half of the record branches out into a 5 or 6 track long minimal almost techno-ish jam (very mouse on mars meets tortoise). If anyone has seen them live recently you'll recognise a lot of the songs. Anyway, it's only February but I'm betting this is one of the best records of the year. As for Bundy K Brown. He used to be in Tortoise. Check out his solo releases, especially the Directions 12" on Soul Static Sound Easy Jeff
