a marvellous post, and maybe something to think about when it's time for everyone's new year's resolutions :-)... I say kick the regular posters off and let the lurkers take over!!! <<< i certainly agree w/ more participation. people seem to forget that anyone who subscribes can provide content. this is not some wanky rolling stone/nme/fash mag where you have to write in and complain about the reviews/opinions posted - publish your own (oops nearly used caps there :-). complaining about the content of the list in this context is a pretty pointless, tho' admittedly popular, pastime. tho' as an irregular poster myself i don't see why the current posters (mr s. vortex included) need be removed for this to happen. i believe the internet isn't full yet. on the poll bashing note, i fully understand cspot's exasperation w/ the complaints, my only comment is that the 1st round is a bit restrictive - how about something like 5 (or whatever #, 10 seems to be a v. popular # for lists, tho' may be an administrative headache) long players, same single/eps, and if you must label/artist, tho' this should be self evident from the lp/single lists. the seperate cats for comps and drum'n'bass made my picks impossible to the point where i gave up. grande chemise de femme i know. -martin
