I must be getting old. Where was the Catherine Wheel sample?

I strongly disagree. I spent Thanksgiving driving around The Sprawl
listening to BCT and There Are Strings (thank god for rentacars w/
cassette decks!). I've still got BCT playing in my head this morning. I
think the Avant tracks break up the flow of the album a bit and are more
difficult to feel or understand than the others (3 & 4 in particular), but I
left those off the tape. So far it's getting better & better w/ repeated
listenings, unlike 68MS, in which my interest has diminished, or
Versions, which I'm still trying to get my teeth into. BCT is not easy
to listen to, but its angularness appeals to me, strongly. Give it a
listen, but don't expect to get it on the 1st listen. Like Autechre,
there's subtlety here that requires repeated listenings to unfold.
